Walter - May 2010 to March 2012
We had to say goodbye to Walter today. It would appear that the hind leg problem wasn't as innocent as we hoped. A swelling appeared on the side of his head and the drugs had no effect, over the weekend his use of his front paws also degenerated and we decided that there was only one possible option.
Walter has been a wonderful friend, cuddly, social, clever and entertaining rat. He's brought joy to our lives and we'll always remember him.

Walter Update
Walter's hind limb paralysis is relatively common in elderly rat (Mortimer had it as well) but it isn't stopping him yet.
