Couch fun

Walter's Pillow

Walter is resting his head on the rope. No he's not so massive that he barely fits the Sputnik rather he's lying on his brother!

Hammock Hugs

Plus a yawning Walter...

Mortimer Update

We took the old fat rat to the vet yesterday. We were worried as he's lost weight and use of his back legs is declining. However it looks to be muscle loss that explains the weight loss. Not much we can do to help him. We've got some human herbal pills for arthritis and but it's really a case of trying to make the cage suitable for a low level level living. The vet said to make him move still but he needs a surface with grip. He seems happy enough and certainly is still eating or drinking properly.

Do rats like noodles?

Yes, yes they do!

I'm king of the castle...

Although the boys get on well they do seem to spend a lot of time trying to be top rat. Here Mortimer is king of the castle...
Walter rules now...
then Raleigh gets a turn...
but ultimately there is no one master - they are all dirty wee rascals :)

Idiot Rat

Walter choose the wrong route round the Sputnik. We had to carefully lower the Sputnik so he could use the bars to get out!

Three's a crowd

Raleigh camps out while Mortimer and Walter cuddle up in the cabin.

But ultimately he decided that he wanted to join in the hugs.

Nomin on the couch

Raleigh is rapidly becoming a solid little rat as he proves he can eat everything and faster than anyone else. Thereby giving him the chance to swoop in and pinch food from the others. Walter is a bit fussier and slower to eat so he remains a more slimline rat. Mortimer is happy to eat whatever and will sometimes let Raleigh pinch his food unless it's Senior Aid on shreddie (Mortimer gets Senior Aid every morning on something) in which case Raliegh won't be getting a look in.

Super Cute Hammock Hugs

Walter works as a handy blanket for Raleigh.

Triple hammock hugs - yes that is three rats in one hammock!

Happy Anniversary Mortimer!

Our super cute old grey squishy has been with us for two years today! That's two years of rat related joy together. Even better he seems to be lump free - his cyst has just slowly shrunk.
