Getting to know you, Getting to know all about you...

So we are trying to introduce the boys to each other. So far this has been an interesting experience. Nelson is the loudest rat ever - for something so small he sure is able to amke himself heard. We think he might be a bit deaf as well as blind in one eye (our little handi-capable rat) as he makes a lot of noise even if nothing much is happening i.e. Raleigh is just sniffing him.

Nelson

Nelson is super cute and has a habit of running around and demanding hugs then crashing out and sleeping wherever he is.

Grumpy!

Ok, so we've (I've) named the new rats Horatio and Nelson - obvious really as there's a ratty who's blind in one eye :p .

Now Nelson (the partially blind, younger and also a Dumbo ratty) is a small fluffy bundle of fun who wants to play all the time (awwww!!!...). However, I'm always up for a challenge and Horatio (the older Hooded rat) is a bit more cautious and spends most of his
time hiding and glowering at me.

I know we're going to be best of pals eventually but here's a picture of him hanging out of the house looking grumpy while simultaneously trying to nom on some grub and avoid human contact :) .

New Arrivals

Ok, so I went to Coatbridge to get some new walking boots but my card was declined (whoops overdraft :p). So on my way home I spotted a pets at home and went in to get some more litter and to have an obligatory look at the small animals.

Lo and behold, there in the adoption centre were two 3 to 4 month old males. After getting the ok from Kateri I asked to have a look at them and was immediately won over.

Needless to say we now have 4 rats in the house (spread over 2 cages for the time being).

I suppose I'd better go back at some point to get some walking boots :)
